“Student Delegation from Mid-West University Departs for Chandigarh University, India under Student Exchange and Cultural Immersion Program”

A delegation team from Mid-West University, consisting of selected multidisciplinary students for the student exchange and cultural immersion program, departed for Chandigarh University, India on 4th April, 2026.

The team from Mid-West University, Surkhet, Nepal, left for a week-long program at Chandigarh University upon its official invitation.

During a formal program, Chairperson of the Mid-West University Service Commission, Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa, expressed best wishes for a successful journey. He emphasized that student exchange is an important learning process and expressed confidence that the visit, representing not only the university but the entire nation, would be fruitful.

Executive Director of the International Relations Directorate, Dr. Yadu Prasad Gyawali, urged the delegation to successfully complete the study visit as per the planned schedule and to bring back valuable learning experiences that could be adopted.

He further stated that, with the objective of expanding collaboration with national and international universities and promoting integration with new learning cultures, this program has been initiated for the first time by including all faculties.

The delegation includes faculty members Dr. Prem Kumari Dhakal, Dr. Anup Basnet Kshetri, and Kapil Budhathoki; officials Sher Bahadur KC and Shailendra Pathak; head assistant Shiva Shahi; along with more than three dozen students. On the occasion, Executive Director of the Planning, Development and Monitoring Directorate, Dr. Bishnu Kumar Khadka, was also present.

Earlier, under the coordination of the International Relations Directorate, a team led by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Dhruba Kumar Gautam and Registrar Prof. Dr. Shobhakhar Kandel had renewed the longstanding relationship with Chandigarh University.
